Maben House awarded ‘Very Good’ inspection by the Care Inspectorate

We are thrilled to announce that Maben House has once again received a ‘Very Good’ rating from the Care Inspectorate, marking our second consecutive top assessment!

The recent inspection, carried out over two days in mid-September, involved a comprehensive review of our service, with inspectors speaking to staff, children and young people, and professionals, as well as reviewing documentation and observing practice within the daily life of the service.

The official report, now available on the Care Inspectorate website here, highlights the strong, supportive relationships our staff have developed with the young people in our care, fostering positive outcomes and a safe, happy environment. The report also commented on how the voices of young people are listened to and supported, and how young people felt happy and safe within the service.

Our clinical team and reflective practice also received praise for helping young people build positive relationships with staff and each other, contributing to positive outcomes.

The team were really pleased with the outcome of the report, highlighting the below comments are particularly pleasing:

“Young people were encouraged and supported to pursue hobbies and interests…and were encouraged to try new experiences…such activities were nurturing and promoting young people’s sense of self-worth”

“All young people were achieving in education with full school or college attendance…young people told us they enjoyed school”

A huge thank you to all of our young people, parents and staff who took part in the inspection – we are so proud!
